Pinaka (pronounced “pin a Ka” where each letter a is like the letter a in the word about) is a word from the Philippine languages of Tagalog and Bicol and roughly translates the “the best” or “the most”. Used with adjectives it is equivalent to “est” placed at the end of a word in English. For example: prettiest, fastest or tallest. In the normal use it is placed before the adjective – something like pinaka pretty, pinaka fast or pinaka tall. 

Our name, Pinaka Systems, thus, is an international play on words that reflects our desire to provide the best possible systems or solutions to our clients.

Our founder and president worked in the Philippines for 3 years as a member of the Peace Corps. He is married to his former language instructor, a Registered Nurse. She is part owner of the company and his closest business confidant.
