Automation Backup™ offers a structured and standardized process for recording all the information that drives your automation systems. From PLC program logic to machine parameters, manuals, blueprints and technical notes; all the information needed to document and recover your automation assets is stored in a common database and accessible by your technicians with a web browser.

Automation Documentation Services
When you purchase Automation Backup™ Pinaka Systems provide one week on-site services to help you build your automation system inventory, install the software, train you on the use of the software and start documenting your automation systems.
After the first week you may contract with us to continue documenting your automation assets or you may perform the documentation with your own staff.
As you acquire or build additional automation systems, Pinaka Systems can work with you and the vendor to properly organize the documentation for those systems into your Automation Backup™ database.
Pre-Purchase Documentation Review
Make sure you are comparing apples to apples. When you put out an RFQ for a new automation system ask the vendor to provide you with a pre-purchase Automation Backup™ Review in their quotation. Our reports will let you more effectively compare the documentation and backup information you can expect to receive from each vendor.
Don’t wait until disaster strikes. Pinaka Systems can work with you and your automation system integrator or builder to run disaster recovery or system restoration drills on your critical automation equipment. During that drill Pinaka Systems will document all the little “quirks” to restoring each system so that if recovery is needed, a minor problem does not turn into a major production shutdown.
Some automation system software and engineering components may be proprietary and the integrator or builder may not want to release source code or other technical information to you for storage in the Automation Backup system. This leaves you vulnerable if the integrator goes out of business or stops supporting the product.
To protect your investment in your automation system, Pinaka Systems can work with you, the integrator, and one of our escrow service providers to safely store the necessary backup information with the escrow service. Once the software or other proprietary information is in escrow the Automation Backup database can be populated with that specific escrow information.
